When MGM and Sony Pictures retires the 007 movie. Disney will be pleased to have Bond 24 in 2014 and Bond 25 in the future. Was it based in real-life.

Bond isn't in the same league as Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars.

Harry Potter seems to be something that would suit Disney but that ship has well and truly sailed.

Yes, I'm sure Sony /MGM can't wait to retire the Bond franchise, what with Skyfall likely to be one of the most successful ever.

Bond is far bigger than Pixar or Marvel.

    Star Wars fair enough

Pixar cost Disney $7.4 billion and Marvel cost them $4.24 billion.

Can't see Bond being anywhere near as lucrative as those.

When MGM were bankrupt they couldn't sell the rights for $1 Billion which they were asking for.

Unlikely to happen. The Bond distribution rights were recently auctioned off, Sony Pictures won, my understanding is that Paramount Pictures were also heavily interested and that 20th Century Fox put in a bid.

Shouldn't 20th century fox modernise and rename itself 21st instead. :)
