  RGB is the best analogue connection possible.
  Use a fully wired and full screened SCART lead between the TV socket on the box and your DVD recorder. Don't use the VCR socket as it doesn't carry RGB.
  Make sure that the input you use on the DVD recorder supports RGB, and that the input type is set correctly in the menus. The picture settings in the Sky box menus also need to be set to output RGB. not PAL. SCART switching also needs to be enabled on the newer HD boxes, but I don't think it matters on the SD boxes.
