Bit of a contradiction picking and choosing what rules suit you? Depends of your version of extreme. If the quran says haram food and alcohol is forbidden, some might find it extreme, others acceptable.
If this helps you realise not all Muslims are devout, strict, just like some people in other faiths then this is a good thing. It's not the extreme/strict world you think it is.
this lot are living in the 18th century ! a pathetic bunch of weirdos and religious bigots..
They need to wakeup in the real world as we dont want them here...
We're not going anywhere. Deal with it
EDIT: Do you know any Muslims personally? I fear you have an unsafe opinion full of animosity towards people. Just because they eat differently to you. Come on, be sensible now.

Why are strict and extreme synonymous to devotion?

I'm glad you brought this up, as I've often laid in bed, unable to sleep, racking my brains trying to solve this baffling conundrum of an issue. It's been a proper head scratching question I've been searching for the answer to.
I don't think Haribos have contained actual gelatine for a long time, if ever. They have always been the sweets it was ok to give Muslim kids because of that. I suspect the halal or kosher packs are just marketing to increase their sales among the Muslim or Jewish populations.

We have to live with/by one another. Some make it more difficult than others!
So it's better to focus on the decent people - such as yourself, for example
Indeed, a challenge keeps the mind fresh and alert:D
