advice needed please

I have a scantronic 9427 style alarm in my house but i have never used it, but as i am going away tomorrow i would like to know how to use it and set the code for it basically, i've tried googling for manuals and there are a lot of threads about it but i can't seem to find a manual for that particular model, any help please?:)

    Scantronic 9427 seems to be the make/model of the keypad. What details of make/model are on the alarm control panel?

    EDIT: And I bet more people will look at your thread if you say in the title with what you need advice.

    Tell us the make/model of the control panel.

    1 Press [6]
    2. Press [ENT]
    3. Enter existing [User code]
    4. Enter new [User code]
    5. Press [ENT]

    Its the same instructions despite the different serial number.
    There's a few other forum posts (not DS) out there on same subject.

    I don't think the alarm panel will be a 9427 - that's the designation of the keypad.

    Anyway, here is a link to the user manual for a panel which supports the 9427 keypad. You will see instructions in there about how to change the user code:

    i think the OP needs to know the original code to change to a new code , and they don't know that code

    maybe there is an general engineers code they can enter

    I initially thought that might be the case, but in post #6 the OP tells us that she (now) knows the number and wants to change it.
