I like the song a lot and it deserved to be top 5 but their performance on Alan Carr was dull. I know they never did the dance thing but they didn't even look like a group...Keisha looked embarrassed.
I don't believe the age argument. Eminem is like in his 40s and he gets played. I first heard the song on Radio 1's late show one night.
The conflicts between group members may be a factor but I don't think it is the only factor.
The singing and harmonies are good, but we are in a new era now that is all about colaborations, where pop, urban, dance and even country and rock have been incorporated into one super (in terms of size not quality) genre. Flatline doesn't fit into that genre so it won't be played on current hit radio stations.
Everything that is both current and mainstream seems to be aimed at teenagers, but the MKS song seems to be aimed at a more mature audience that is interested in the music and the singing rather than whether they strip off or how sexually extreme they are.
If you want to find their song online and search by artist instead of title, you may have to write out all their names instead of just MKS.
I don't like the super genre that has emerged. At least MKS are doing something different and better.

first rule of ageism: it hits women harder than men.
We've already discussed how Radio 1 will hang on to male rappers well into their 40s, much longer than they would artists from other genres. And whatever the genre, women are dismissed around 30.
I think they've been their own undoing and it's not believable anymore; We've had 1.0, 2.0. 3.0, 4.0, 1.1 - all have been the best lineups, what's next 2.1?
I blame the Friday release as well:mad: Chatty Man isn't that high profile, where they expecting a surge in sales? It was a poor management decision and this doesn't bode well for the rest of their career:(
The Friday release had nothing to do with it as it tallied off more or less instantly. So even if it had been released on Sunday there was no interest there. Releasing it to tie in with Chatty Man probably got them a few extra sales.
I think facts need to be faced. There is no interest in this group outside of the very small group of fans they still have. They are a tarnished brand and are just not popular enough for people to like them.
Well they charted at #14 in Ireland which is great and shows what a little bit of radio support can do.
If they had received even a small bit of radio support in the uk then a top 20 would have been a given at least.
Most the time it's the good music that doesn't chart, it's a compliment really.
really? ahaha, well I myself when i listen to it I also believe the video was shit!!! ok not terrible but when i listen to the song i feel someone walking through places in london like here big ben and those streets near waggamamas, you know while singing then it gets dark u see the london eye, and maybe while each of them sing u see a guy looking at them, the ex or something thats what i think would have been a perfect video for it?
