That was 0'31 too early. The vocals in the chorus were totally crashed. Why do they do this to virtually every song they play?
At least I can give them some credit, for playing the proper single version of the song, which is in stereo throughout. (There is a dodgy version of China In Your Hand floating around, that goes mono at 3'18 - this dodgy version has been spotted on the relevant NOW disc.)
It's even earlier than before, at 3'00 of a 4'05 song. That's less than 74% of the song, so they've absolutely soddin' ruined it! Murdered!! TROUNCED!!!!!
How on earth is this kind of broadcasting even allowed on the UK's FM airwaves?!
I will be complaining to Heart again, and that is the last time that I will ever listen. Radio 1 or Capital should take over all of the Heart transmitters at once! Including Heart London and Heart West Midlands!

For crying out loud, if you want to hear the full version then bloody buy it of Itunes. I'm into specialist electronic dance music and I never complain about radio edits, despite the cuts being very noticable. Even these Capital 'in the mix' shows are heavily edited around the bridges (track mixing; down from a minute to around 10 seconds). Heart obviously have their markers set in place because of their 3 song rule is pressed up tight with a minute's worth of Voice tracking (total : 12 minutes, including news & weather). whereas for Capital, they play their songs in full instead of the long links.

So why would Global allow Radio 1 to take over the transmitter for one of their most successful brands, leaving aside the small matter of them already broadcasting nationwide.
They thankfully don't listen to a geeky obsessive off the internet when making business decisions or programming thier highly successful stations.

Ok then don't sell their transmitters to the BBC. But at least put something on there that's worthy of the airwaves that they're transmitting on! You said Capital have shorter links - so they play songs IN FULL. Perfect! Sell off the Heart brand and turn all Heart's into Capital's! Then Capital is nationwide, and you can actually hear what you intended to! (I can get Capital Leicester at home, despite living in Northants, but in the car Capital's impossible.) The a lot of people like me would be happy because:
a) they play songs IN FULL
b) They play a lot more new music
c) they definitely play "more music variety" than the station that they replaced!
Or get everyone onto DAB - which Capital is already broadcasting on! Done!

Heart should learn to shorten their links a tiny bit then! Even if it is only a few seconds! That way then can play more of the songs they, and their listeners, love!
I wouldn't be moaning as much if the segueway was 10 seconds too early. But it wasn't, it was a whole minute and 5 seconds too early! And that is a big difference!
Or if they haven't got enough time to play the songs, and cannot shorten the links, then play shorter songs (3'30 or less) instead of whopping great long ones in excess of 4'00, that then have to get hacked down!
And people shouldn't have to buy the song of iTunes just because they want to hear a song - and in full. That's the whole point of radio!!!!
I know that they're aimed at a younger audience, but at least Capital know how to play songs properly!
Heart isn't even worth the frequencies that they broadcast on, because of their ridiculous chops and the lack of music variety. And with that, rant over.

Replace the word Heart with Capital and I would've agreed with you. But it's a business at the end of the day! Global has done all the right things to make sure that these 'failed' ILRS stay on air under a money making brand.
When Galaxy was axed back in 2011, I'm sure that Global had loads of complaints about the 'lack of specialist output' and 'lack of choice' on the newly formed Capital network. (Not forgetting the reduced local output from Yorkshire).. But were the complaints big enough to put the company's reputation at risk? No! Unless you form a big group who share the same music interest and that are bothered with the seages. Global will only 'sadly' see you as a small fly on the wall and will do F all about it.
If they're making money and having good rajars, why bother?

No, Capital is much better. They play more modern music! And they play songs in full most, if not all, of the time! I don't hear vocals crashed in songs on Capital, due to segueways!
And how on earth did the ILR's that were before then "failed"? Northants 96 Radio was much better, it was local (not a networked show from London, with 7 hours semi-local output), it played a great variety of songs, and it didn't hack songs!

Strange lad.
However, that segue that I posted wasn't from yesterday - it was from Monday. For the last 2 days I haven't been anywhere near Heart.
Good! Do yourself a favor and leave it be!
Thank you - I can no inform you that I have done another day away from heart's airwaves. Yipee
Of course they do. Its faded a minute and a half from the ending.

Listen to how the word "take" is crashed halfway through it!
Still posting shite about your obsession though:rolleyes:
Only this time, to T'Pau.

I'm done with Heart.

Please just stop this.
I can't see why you can continue to post this drivel day after day and as soon as anyone questions/challenges says it how it is they get banned.
....until you hear your unteempth recording of We Built This City ending early...
Or Jermaine Stewart; that song has an ever worse segue marker than that of Starship.
http://www.mixcloud.com/spotify95/heart-matt-jarvis-and-toploader-segue/
This was on the drivetime show but it's ridiculous that Heart are even allowing this to happen.
Again, please allow Capital to take over the Heart network!
Haven't heard that song yet... you'll have to post an audio clip when you next hear it
In the nicest, most sincere, respectful manner Heart isn't going to change what it's doing just because you think it should be done differently.
Why are so many users getting banned for challenging Spotify95??
Surely enough is enough now....
Yawn.
So why not simply ignore this thread if it bugs you so much
Of course you think Capital is better, you're a teenage boy! Heart is designed for your mum to like, not you. Time to move on.
