Will games update even though PSN store not up?

Just wondering if games will update to the latest version even though the PS Store isn't up yet?:confused:

    yeah, no problems there, the game patch servers have worked fine for the last month, they've been unaffected AFAIK.

    It depends. If the patch has been submitted to Sony and has been verified then it will be ok. If not then you might have to wait a while as they will need to send it and have it tested.

    It also depends on a lot of online stuff.

    Eutechnyx have had trouble submitting the patch to Sony for NASCAR 2011 as they haven't been able to test the online due to the recent issues. As such, we have to wait until they have been able to do so and it's been tested until it's released. The xbox one should be done anytime soon, but ps3 owners will have to wait.

    The game really needs the patch too, online is unplayable.
