Basically when I say they're porting it, they're just gutting the old Final Fantasy 7 game onto the ps4.
There's going to be no high definition gfx. It will be as you remember it, but with trophies and another 20 quid price tag on it.
So they're not remaking anything, like they remade Final Fantasy X earlier this year. The differences between the old one and new were like night and day. But not FF7. They're just moving the same game over to the new system. Not that much to get excited over.
(Although I do think they are secretly remaking FF7, but that's a different story)

I don't know. I it's my favourite game ever but this news is just meh.

FF7 is one of the most popular games of all time, and the article title "Final Fantasy VII Coming to PS4" will bring in many people and clicks as most people would assume from the title that they're remaking it.

More than the PC version tho, which upscaled some textures and stuff.
Take a look at this photo. On the left is the ps1 version. On the right, the PC version. That's the level of what they're going to do.
Just don't go expecting this.

FFVIII was also "upgraded" for the PC as well, looks good, so I'd imagine that will make it's way to the PS4 at some point as well.
Maybe they will re-release a lot of PS 1 and 2 classics with trophies!
