Sorry to bump an old thread, but someone, somewhere might be interested. The 9200's HD is still working happily in my PC
So, if you get HD errors on your Humax. don't immediately think it's the HD!
I am sorry you have not proved anything. My guess is that the drive for some reason was running up to speed more slowly than the Humax expected. The PC is simply more tolerant. We had exactly the same problem and a new drive fixed it.
I don't want to tempt fate but ours is still working well after my last go at pressing the cable connections fully home on the board.
