The BIll had so many great classic episodes that it is hard to pick the "best." My favorites include all the Burnside episodes. Jim Carver's descent into alcoholism and hitting bottom was class, particularly the episode where Burnside arrests him on suspicion of murder and he cannot remember anything. The best and more heartbreaking episode was John Bolton's death. To this day, I can never re-watch the episode and will never forgive Don Beech for murdering Bolton who was one of my favorite characters.
I think my favourite episode is when Mickey told Jack he had been raped by Delaney. Chris Simmons' acting was phenomenal. The whole episode was a rollercoaster of emotions.
This for me too. Chris Simmons was brillaint, the scene with Mickey and Jack was brilliant, and I thought Alex Walkinshaw/Smithy was brilliant too.
I liked the final part of the Amy Tennant storyline too, Andrew Lancel and Neil Stuke were great throughout that storyline. And I liked the French accent from one of the actors.

I can't remember when it was but I always remember Cass Rickman's body being found on a beach I think, and Nick was devastated. I was young at the time and found it shocking
Loving this tread as I was a massive Bill fan back in the day and still gutted it was axed by ITV; wtf were they thinking!!
Far too many great episodes, storylines and characters over the years...I would be here all day if I wrote them all!! :-))))
Some of my favourite storylines has got to be the Don beach one, absolutely fantastic!!
The Luke/Craig/Kerry love triangle was one of the best.
The serial killer was also one of my favs; poor cass; I thought she was brill!!
Cathy Bradford storyline with her going mental was ace! The two live episodes were awesome!
Also, the Pauline Quirke guest appearence. Her character and Jo Masters did some of the best scenes ever!
And of course, one of my other all time favs, has got to be when Hugh, the profiler, kidnapped Sam Nixons daughter an held her hostage and left sam and the police clues along the way
Don't suppose you'd guess by my username but any episodes featuring the fantastic Smithy and Gina combo, Gina's cancer, their drunken scenes together, etc. Also Gina's relationship with Irene Radford.
Gabriel, the sniper, Andrea the undercover journalist.
An episode shown recently featuring the actress who plays Julie in Corrie, she took a fantastic part, similar to Pauline Quirke when she was in the Bill.
Des Taviner.
Going back, the Eddie Santini story, Cathy Bradford.
The Don Beach spin off was brilliant. I once randomly met Dean Boulton when I was a kid.
Yeah that was Brilliant. He really was Evil.
One of the LIVE episodes they done (with the Stunt) i was also Very Impressed with.
There's alot of Good episodes from the Bill Over the years.
the one i like think it was a 3 part one
where Terry went under cover and they went abroad think it was Germany but not sure
with Jack where the blonde was kidnapped
i loved the explosion where the 5 people died cause you had no idea who was gonna die.. even if my favs did perish
i liked the other explosion as well when Ken was in the back of the van! it was traumatic, and i was gutted for Reg, but it was so edge on your seat!
and the ep when Gabriel shot Kerry killed me cause i loved her, and Smithy holding her as she died just made it worse, but the whole Gabriel thing was good
and who remembers the serial killer eps, when that guy killed (whats her name? casey? cassie?) that was pretty hard to watch but well done! ahh i miss The Bill
I was a Smithy fan quite early on, but the same at first - I didn't see when Smithy was in The Bill before, but was also a Luke fan for a long time!
Speaking of Gary Best, the first live episode was also one of my favourite episodes I think. Even if there were mistakes, it was just done so well and it was such a big thing for them.

And this (and similar with username ). When Smithy and Gina argued about him telling June about Gabriel, and Kerry/Gabriel(?), also brilliant scenes between them!
The Trial of Eddie Santini
Roach's Exit (the look on Monroe's face when Roach's fist makes contact with it!)
Quinnan getting battered
My favourites are also the one when Roach punched Monroe, "Punch Drunk". Also The Short Straw and Don't Like Mondays when Pete Ramsay got shot.
Instant Response (1994) - which was essentially just a car chase for half an hour.
Judgement Call (1996) when Cathy Marshall died.
A Good Night Out (1996) - when Ackland got promoted to Sergeant.
Twanky - Xmas episode
Villain (1998) - a whole episode dedicated to Boyden with an old man and his dog in custody.
Loads of episodes from the early 00 period including the Don Beech scandal, Sun Hill explosion, Conway's death, Boyden's death and Chandler killing himself, as well as Bob being shot by Smithy and Luke leaving for the first time.
Series 1, Episode 5: Long Odds. It features the wonderful Trevor Cooper in a minor role, and Sean Bean as an armed blagger. Ted Roach is on top form in it.
Series 3, Episode 11: Overnight Stay. The cops are guarding an at-risk jury in a hotel. Superb episode, with some comical moments.
Series 4, Episode 6: Just Call Me Guvnor. Burnside's first day as D.I. Ted isn't happy.

I could be here all day....ha ha!!
Yeh that was the first time I liked Smithy (I was a Luke fan and he didn't like him ) but after that I loved Smithy.
Chris and Ciaran (Gary Best) are trying to get a show comissioned called Wayne and Abel. There are a few clips on their facebook page and youtube:

I do miss The Bill (apart from the reruns)

Great episodes as well. I also liked Lewis Hardy's last episodes, Man Down and Death or Glory, which were brilliant, from 2007.
