They use Malta for game of thrones don't they harbour scenes iirc
I've never seen the 'Game of Thrones' but I could imagine Malta's harbours being used. They are exceptional! Most were designed and built by The Knights of St John.
Fabulous scenary , lovely people and a sense of peace ( at last )
So true about the people. They are just so grateful that people go there on holiday, it was a bit disconcerting at first lol, but they want to move on from the troubles. The people are definitely my favourite thing about Croatia, which is saying something with their beautiful coastline!!
Out of the ones I've been to (Ireland, France, Greece, Italy, Germany, Malta, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Switzerland, Sweden , Norway, Holland and Belgium) I would say Sweden
It's a 5 night stay, Perth, Thurso, Ullapool, Oban and Cairnryan. Taking in the countryside and seeing a lot of the coast.
Ullapool, Thurso/Caithness and Oban are wonderfully scenic. Perth the (small) city is ok but the surrounding area is nice... I like Stirling better though and not far from Perth is the kingdom of Fife if you can visit the little coastal villages of Crail etc are lovely

Yes.The East Neuk Of Fife is a gem.Nice fish and chips in Anstruther too.:)
Only places that I have visited in Europe are Netherlands and Italy. Loved Netherlands with how laid back they were & loved Italy, lovely food, beautiful women and great weather. However England does have some lovely sites when we have the weather, and we do have some of the most beautiful churches in the world with their magnificent architecture and stunning stained glass windows, the murky smell of the pews. Just a shame about the BS that gets taught inside of them.
Have to say that I prefer to travel abroad on holiday for the better weather at a fraction of a price of a crummy caravan holiday in the UK, better food at reasonable prices and learning other cultures. Other European countries have it all including better national anthems,

Yup to the above!!

I'd ahve to say Scandanavia. At least that wraps up 3 countries in 1
I've just put "Belgium" into DS's search box.
Nothing Nothing at all!
Has Belgium disappeared??? :o
Help!! Calling Belgium/Belge, are you still there?? Roeping belgie ben je er nog steeds
I'm in a silly mood tonight...:p
I think they were using Malta in the first 3 seasons for Daenarys' scenes.
Any harbour scenes from a hot climate area (kings landing) were filmed in Dubrovnik, Croatia. As far as I'm aware anyway.
Croatia incidentally and Dubrovnik in particular is also my 2nd fave Europe destination.
Such a beautiful place. The scenery is amazing in the summer.

The scenery is amazing twelve months of the year.
Germany - sometimes i wish I was German.
Denmark - the culture is awesome and everyone i met was so nice and trendy.
I'm sure it is, but lots of people think of it as a winter destination so I thought I'd big it up as a summer destination.

To visit again probably Switzerland
To visit for first time - Iceland
like the comments about Croatia, never been there, but would like to go now
To avoid like the plague - England - too many thick racists
That's a bit of a racist comment.

Probably the same exhaustive reasons you put for Portugal.
