Unlocking an HTC S620??

Hi All,
I currently have an HTC S620 Which is locked to BT Mobile.
Could anyone offer a suggestion of the best way to go about unlocking the device for any network.
I've seen plenty of ads on the net offering unlocking services but I'm a bit sceptical.
Any advice that could be offered would be much appreciated:)
