Theoretically it should be an easy win today but I'm not expecting a goal fest. Villa may have scored the second least outside of the bottom 3 (or 5th least in the PL to put it another way) but they have a reasonably tight defence. I'll go for a mundane 2-0.

Fulham are holding them to 0-0 at the break in what is a must of a 3 points.

This is a rare weekend this season, where we're playing before our rivals currently below for 4th spot.

Hoping for a good win this evening, although I'm wary that Lambert's Villa got a victory at Anfield last season.
3points today then results in our favour at Stamford Bridge,Swansea and West Brom tomorrow and Monday would be a great boost.

Arsenal a goal up.Still more important that we put four points between us and Everton before they play Monday night though.

Team vs Villa: Mignolet, Johnson, Cissokho, Skrtel, Toure, Gerrard, Henderson, Sterling, Coutinho, Sturridge, Suarez

Subs: Jones, Kelly, Lucas, Moses, Allen, Aspas, Alberto

    Very attacking with no Lucas.

Looks good, will be great to see SAS back from the start. Also very good thar we didn't see a drop in form whilst Gerrard and Sturridge were out.

It was either Lucas or Coutinho who would make way for Studge. In a way I'm glad it's Lucas. I want to see the CASASAS. :p

Good luck with that attacking line up Villa

Imagine if we ever signed CASILLAS as goalie, that could get really confusing:D

This is going to be a real battle,as we'd expect against a Lambert side.

Yeah, Referee has already let them away with a couple of clumsy challenges as well.

Lee Dixon predictably being lenient to the British player for the challenge on Suarez with the commentary on the stream I've got.

Is it just me or are we looking particularly crap this evening? A lot of sloppy passing going on

We're looking sluggish. Perhaps a few players expected we'd be having all the play so far, rather than battling for the ball as Villa are making us do.

Maybe if Villa score we might get our arse in gear.

This is a terrible start here today. It's like Hull all over again.

edit: and typically they score, can't say it hasn't been coming.
