If there was a new soap, where would you want it to be set, what storylines you would like to see...?
Basically, what would be your ideal new soap?

Something like Crossraods but more glamourous, worse acting and stranger storylines.
There's too much seriousness in UK soaps every one of them is so depressing dealing with the crap in life. I'm getting so bored of it now.
I would like to see happy, rich people, or unhappy rich people. Living in the sun attending parties. People who don't have to work.
Perhaps a west-country soap set in Devon or somewhere.
If they are coming from England it has to be a posh place.
Well they aren't rich, they do have to work, the storylines arent very interesting.
So why would i want to watch hollyoaks?
What about an animated soap? It would definitely be unique!
The Aussie's tried this with 'Shark Bay' - it had loads of big Aussie stars in it like Rowena Wallace & Dieter Brummer and did get an airing over here on E4 I think.
I reckon a UK soap-spoof series would be fantastic!
I'd call it Eastdale Street.
I never watched it!
What was it about?
No why does everythign have to be about poor people who dont know what contraception is and should be on trisha?
It was brilliant. Loads of the cast have went on to other things like Hollyoaks and Family Affairs.
it had her out of Birds of a feather she was a psycho and it had loads of funny storiylines and characters, especially Ryan who did a great impression of his mothers pout and used to argue with his alter ego in the mirror.
In the end he became a woman and franki's dad was brough back as a robot.
But Motor Mouth, just because somebody lives on an estate doesn't mean they're poor!

Well I suppose it depends on how many benefits they are claming for, but if you only count the money they earn then most of them are poor.
But you get my point, Shameless is a showcase of everything we don't want on earth.
Here, here! 'Twas better than all the other soaps put together (and I say that as a soap fan).
I've heard a couple of different rumours surrounding Corrie spin-offs. I think one centred arounf Underworld and another featuring Todd Grimshaw. Are these still in the pipeline??
