That's quite an overreaction! So far just one poster (who happens to be straight) has suggested that there might be an element of homophobia in the dismissal of these programmes before they've even been on.

No more of an over reaction than accusing anyone who criticises the programme as being homophobic

    As bad as what?

Defending the right to freely express an opinion, as opposed to accusing a number of people of having hate issues.

Maybe some do not consider the concept of homophobia to be vile and unacceptable in any form, and dislike the idea of some people being accused of it on the flimsiest of evidence.

Not really a fan of Russell T. Davies as a writer personally, but i was actually quite intruiged by the concept of the shows and how they're linked.

I might give it a go.

    No, just the hyperbole aspect!

Don't quite follow. If some people (are you referring to yourself here?) think some forms of homophobia are OK, why would they mind being accused of it?

I will use words of as few syllables as I can.

Homophobia is vile, as a result to call someone homophobic for not being too keen on the mentioned programmes is a disgrace.

I've stuck it on series link. I'll watch it and see what I think, I enjoyed Queer as folk and Lip service so will see how I get on with these!

OK, but you earlier gave the impression that you thought some kinds of homophobia were OK. I'm pleased if that's not the case.

Is this going to stay in widescreen? It's not a movie so why is it in widescreen. Pretentious or what. Thank goodness the music has stopped. Couldn't hear a word he was saying.

    OMG have I curdled. :D:D

I didn't think they would be allowed to say things like that about Ryan Reynolds without being sued.
