  If you want to go to the West Country this company has a very good reputation. I've been on several holidays with them. As it's short notice you may be able to get a discount.

  Also bear in mind it is the School's October Half Term, so the first week maybe expensive.

  I do cottage weekends and hotel city breaks quite a lot and find it's best to go to the property's own website and book with them.
  That way you cut out the expensive middleman and it's one less contact to deal with ( lessening the chances of any admin cock-ups )

  Stilwells is pretty good they list properties but you book with the owners not through an agency so costs are slightly less.
