  Thanks for starting the thread Lizzy, and reminding me about this, I usually forget about it until March then it's too bloody late.

  Hi there!
  Very much enjoyed reading the 212 thread so thought I would give it a go this year! I don't think I'll be able to manage 213 books in a year but I'm going to go with 100. I have no idea how much I read a year so I'll see whether I can reach this target or if I even go over it!

  I reckon my final count for 2012 will be 76 (and a half, with some discarded crap!).
  
  So I'll aim for 80 in 2013.

  I've read 111 this year. Next year I am aiming for 125. the count is high because I have had lots of hospital appointments, and so my Kindle goes with me.

  My final count for this year will probably be 154 which is 12 fewer than the year before. I think I'll just keep my target at 150 for next year.

  150 for me, I did 176 this year (so far.... ) but have a dissertaion to write next year, so doubt ill get through as many

  I loved reading 212 in 2012 so I was rather looking forward to this one starting so I could join in

  I read quite a lot, i volunteer in a library and have a kindle so if I see a book I fancy it's never too far away!
  
  I've never counted how many books I've read in a year, probably not 213 but if, for example, I go on holiday for a week I take a book for everyday so it can add up. I work in a school now so I tend to read an awful lot during the holidays.
  
  I'd like to set my target for 150 and see how close I can get.
  
  Good luck everyone. I'll be looking to see what other people read for inspiration, the best books I've read have been recommendations from friends.

  I read War and Peace 20 odd years ago and have decided to reread it at the beginning of 2013 as I remember enjoying it but not 100% the whole story so I may have to set my target at 1 book:D
  
  Setting myself a target of 50 though as I am determined to make headway in the 110 books I've got piled all over my spare rooms floor

  I'm going to go for a modest but achievable target of 50 books. I must try to spend less time reading about books and more time actually reading them.

  My "resolution" for 2012 was to read all of the Booker Prize winners; assuming it would take a couple of years at least because I interspersed them with trivia. As Midnight's Children was one of those which I did read .... not much time left for much else!

  I started this last year - but lost my interest in reading mid year.
  
  So this year I plan on trying it again - I am in a better place this year so hopefully will find reading a little easier to concentrate on.
  
  I am going to aim for 100 books.

  I've managed 57 this year, so was going to go for 50 in 2013, but I have a few pretty long books in my TBR pile (Fall Of Giants, Winter Of The World, Under The Dome, the final two Song Of Ice and Fire books and the rest of the Dark Tower series) so I might go for 40 instead

  Aiming for 101 this year. Managed 107 in 2012, which is pretty good for me. Good luck, everyone, whether your goal is 10 or 213 :-)

  Haha me too Sue, I'm a member of goodreads and spend a disproportionate amount of time reading reviews rather than actual books.
