Morning All
I am trying to update to a blu ray player (multi-region preferrably) but have no clue what is a good make etc, I need the player to also be able to play CD-RW, DVD-RW etc as well as region 1 dvds. Looking for a relatively cheap (but not cheap looking) player.
Any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks

Richersounds.
All you need to know.
Sony because they make decent players. Richersounds because they sell some players already hacked for multi region on DVD for about a tenner more than the standard version. Which can be cheaper than some other methods of hacking the players.
You are unlikely to find many players hacked for multi region on Blu-Ray.
For example

Is hacked for multi region for DVD by Richersounds.
PS3 is locked down region specific for BD and DVD to the country of sale. Unless something has changed very recently then there is no crack / hack or chip mod for a PS3. End of story. This is what will greet you: image link
The consoles will play region free discs of course. But then so will any other BD player, and you stand a far far better chance of an unlock for those than a PS3.
