happy memories.Definitely one of the most underrated sitcoms of all time. Loved all the continuing story lines such as the Porter family always accidentally killing all the neighbours' pets: fish, birds!, and the supernatural elements and the impossible surreal storylines - the cobras!!!! my favourite line is where the DJ at a party reads out Rhona's note to him, to all the guests, out loud by mistake: "and here's a request from Rhona. I Want a sample of your sperm"! .:). and the mad woman on the bus who rhona meets on the way to her wedding who tells her about the whirling dervish ..ah and the mad woman was a character in "Waiting" with Liza Tarbuck.another gem..!
2poin4 children was excellent and it was great because it had John Pickard in it when he was at the height of his teenage cuteness and handsome ness - just as My Family is now with Gabriel Thomson.
As has been mentioned Belinda was VERY thin, so skinnymalink celebs are not just a product of the Noughties
If then was now The Daily Mail would be following her around the supermarket and publishing snaps of her with descriptions like " gaunt " and " worryingly thin ".
This was a great show with a great cast and some bizzare and very funny storylines. Nearly every christmas they would end on a song like somthing out of an old Val Doonican christmas special.
Garry Olson used to be in The Bill in the first series and I used to be friends with Georgina Cates (Clare Woodgate) who played Jenny in the first series last I heard she divorced Skeet Ulrich and moved back to London.

The episodes (well most of them I think) are on Youtube. I've been watching a lot of them on there.
I'm glad I got it when I did then! Thanks for that
It was OK and resonably funny.

It could have been a bland suburban sitcom like George and Mildred or Terry and June but they gave it a surreal quality at times.
I loved the one when Jake 'the Klingon' faked his death and they all had to go to his funeral as Star Trek characters
"You've come as 'Next Generation' - this is classic Star Trek!"
"I'm a bleeding Tribble, ain't I."
I think it ended at the right time - once a sitcom starts shoe horning new characters, in this case the adopted son, the end is usually near.
Garry Olson used to be in The Bill in the first series and I used to be friends with Georgina Cates (Clare Woodgate) who played Jenny in the first series last I heard she divorced Skeet Ulrich and moved back to London.
RIP Gary Olson
