Anyone know how to remove this crap ?

I'm using the chrome browser, have tried Malwarebytes, Hijackthis, spybot & Avast

Ive rebooted after running everything but still it pops up out of nowhere..

All advice on the net says Spyhunter but I seem to remember trying that before for something similar and it failed also.

i take it you've tried this > For Google Chrome: Open Google Chrome ; Go to the key at the top right, then “Options”->”Advanced”; Click “Change proxy settings” located in “Network”; Click “Connections” tab; Click “LAN Settings”; Checkmark “Do not activate a proxy server”.

worth a try with spyhunter if it's free

it's it windows 8 i'd refresh system if i was you ,unless you can do system restore ,

    Have you reset Chrome?

In the top-right corner of the browser window, click the Chrome menu Chrome menu
    Select Settings.
At the bottom, click Show advanced settings.
Under the section "Reset settings”, click Reset settings.
In the dialogue that appears, click Reset.

I hadnt tried that, in LAN settings there is only a checkbox for "Use a proxy server for your LAN" (which is unchecked) as opposed to “Do not activate a proxy server”...

Anyhoo I will give Spyhunter a go.. and yes its the worst OS of all time Windows 8 ;-)

Probably not that bad. Windows ME was a complete turkey! There's a reason it was named Mistake Edition :D
