I always liked how even in Communist Russia the Beatles had many "underground" fans.

What does Islam think about Elvis, Rock n Roll, "the sixties" etc ?

I do think the west is more led by beliefs introduced then rather than hundreds / thousands of years ago as, for example, certain religious caliphates are.

And the West is a much happier tolerant place for it.

I would love to teach Islamic State to sing, in perfect harmony.
