Problems connecting to Uncharted 3 multiplayer

Never had problems with this before this afternoon. Now, I load up the game, select 'multiplayer' and 'play online', and it freezes on the 'connecting' screen. It goes through the 'syncing level data' stuff, then right at the end, with the progress bar almost at the end, it freezes. I then have to hold down the power button to switch off.

Tried five or six times over the last couple of hours with the same result each time.

Anybody else experiencing the same?
