Service down, Bromborough, Wirral

My broadband went down on Tuesday at about 11 in the morning. I logged a call with Sky and also did loads of tests (including connecting the router to the master socket). Apparently, the indications are that the fault is at the exchange (which is about a mile away) and Sky escalated it to their networks team. It is now Friday, and it is still down. Today I had a chat with a member of their specialist team who said it looks like the card I am connected to has a fault which may also have affected other users. Have said it may be Sunday before it is fixed. My questions are; Is there anyone else in the Bromborough area of Wirral who's broadband is down? and secondly, is this a reasonable length of time to be without my broadband?
