The BBC have issued a Doctor Who 3D 'viewing guide' and it confirms that it will be on iPlayer and they're trying to sort out Sky, too.

It will be more the BBC letting Sky broadcast it on 170 (although it does say via red button on Sky).
With the eleventh hour deal to get the rights to Life of Pi 3D on Sky 3D today, it's a logical possibility that it can be sorted quickly.
Also, Sky let the BBC show the Queen in 3D last year.
I am the now enjoying watching Doctor Who from 2006 on the BT player.
Darren
Sky didn't let BBC show anything as they have to provide ALL pictures, including 3D to the other, which include ITN & BBC.
I believe it was Sky's 'coverage' that they showed in 3D as the BBC showed theirs on BBC HD
Only if Sky unencrypt sky 3d for the broadcast
I believe I will be at work when it will be shown.
Good question. i see they list the Red Button channel numbers for the 3D test, I wonder if this will be the channel they use for the broadcast. If it is, surely it should be able to be recorded.
There is no 'test', it's being shown on the Red Button HD channel which has shown many events including 3D Wimbledon Final.

Seems to go in two year ctcles, though 2011/12 was first time Sky News recorded the speech. 2009/10 was ITN, so I guess 2013/14 is BBC. Unless Al Jazeera are in the cycle now.
I am using a usb hard drive with my smart tv.
Thank goodness for that
I believe BBC Red button HD has been on Virgin since its launch in the Summer.
Try channel 994.
yeah was playing with doing the same, but can now record onto Sky box - roll on tomorrow
Al Jazeera are not in the cycle.
Its ITN, BBC & Sky. IIRC its Sky doing it this year
Back on topic, good that BBC & Sky have sorted this, but the time it took is nothing short of a sham and massive shame on Sky for demanding a fee while every other platform gave them an EPG slot for free...
