I'm gonna say she'll move to India to live with him and Nita (interestingly they have a son who's currently unnamed so I wonder if he'll ever be referenced). If Max gets cleared I think he'll join Carol and that'll be his temporary exit before returning the following year.

I don't think max will go with her. I think he'll be furious that she thought he was a murderer and he tells her he wants nothing to do with her. She feels all alone and terrible and that's when Robbie persuades her to live with him in India. Think I read when he comes back the son comes with him.
I reckon Carol and Max may go away to India with Robbie as a fresh new start. Carol will eventually return to England and move near Bianca. While Max will return a year later and return with a gorgeous Indian wife with a dark secret.

I think she will. But a long way from now. I mean there was a 10 year gap between her first and second stints.
