Santa Claus: Was never taught he was real.

    Boogeyman: What?

Jesus: No reason to suppose he was not real. Why would you want to argue that he was not?

Tooth fairy: Was never taught it was real.

Holiday Santa Claus and Biblical Jesus are both based off of real people.

This is only talking about the fantasy version.

    Define "real"

Whether based on real people or not, they're all based on ideas subsumed in to popular culture. Ideas can be real. If you're frightened watching a movie, then what you feel is a reaction to an idea. It elicits a deep and genuine reaction.

Isn't "When did you stop believing?" a better question?

    GTFO with your philosophical BS.

Do these fantasy creatures exist? Are their characters actually real? Does Santa Claus actually go to people's chimneys around the world?

Jesus was real he is recorded in Islamic texts as well as the New Testament. There is just the question over his status as Son of God (assuming you believe in God)

If you know two existed, why the silly thread title?

What's the point in being more rational/ logical/ intelligent than everyone else if you don't get to bore everyone senseless by pointing it out in the most pompous way possible at every conceivable opportunity?

I suppose that's right if you are counting the matter that made up his body (how many foreskins did he have by the way as so many churches seem to have it as a relic - even heard it explained that it is his foreskin at different times of his life :confused:).

I thought people would be smart enough to see "Santa Claus,, Boogeyman, Jesus, and Toothfairy" and be smart enough to understand I'm talking about their mythical versions. It seems I was wrong.

Sure you did. Do you think people are that naive?

I put Boogeyman and Santa Claus in the same sentence.

It cannot get more obvious what I am speaking of.
