I have lived for a long time , it some times feels like forever but I have lots of memories , some good and some bad , but I will give some of my good ones
Buying broken biscuits from grocer
Buying a bag of chips at chippy and getting a bag of scrumps for free
Making a winter warmer out of a treacle tin
there are many more , have you any

Ah, those were the days.
Overhearing my junior school teacher telling the student teacher that I was the cleverest in the class :D
Being woken up by my cat gently patting my face with his paw
Nothing that beats buying broken biscuits from grocer
I feel like I've wasted my life
What is wrong with it.
I think it is a lovely idea.
I remember putting rose petals into a glass of water, pressing them down, letting it stand for a while then having a sniff of rose scented water.
Happy days.
Once a metalhead, always a metalhead.
Me too. Trying to make my own glue too, with flour and water.
Funny the things you remember
You must remember that broken biscuits were kept separate from the whole ones and they were cheaper , today you open a packet and find quite a few broken and you have payed full price for them (sorry but this is a pet hate of mine ) , I know , I am sad
How much was a bottle of fizzy drink if the bottle alone was worth 2 x packets of crisps?
...says the author of three threads on toe sucking, a thread announcing your imminent departure to bed, and another thread announcing that you'd just farted. I don't think you're in a position to criticise here, Billy
I think that a bottle if fizz was about 2 shilings or maybe half a crown.
It certainly meant that the bottles were returned.
Get in
Sorry, reverting to "standard DS type" there.
How about when seasons were seasons.
Summers were hot and sunny.
Winters were cold.
Now we get grey mildness for most of the year.
I'm going to see them in concert next month :D
Lying in a warm beach in the 1980s, drinking a Coke with lemon and ice, Madonna's 'Holiday' playing somewhere on a radio.
And the time during one such memorable occasion when just as I took my shot, next door's cat ran directly across the path of the ball. The ball slammed into its side and sent it flying and yowling. My brother and I were on the floor for about ten minutes laughing.
Grocers with butter paddles
Being able to buy just one egg
The cream on top of the milk
Wafers for ice-cream (horrible)
The sports paper with the football results on Sat evenings
Plastic toys in cereal packets
Unravelling handknitted jumpers so the wool could be reused
No Health and Safety!!!!:D

Being able to buy penny bangers and jump jacks a couple of weeks before Nov 5th.
Bad memory.
Having penny bangers and jump jacks thrown at you a couple of weeks before Nov 5th.
