another "popular" one for me ... is Ramsden's .... this is my branch so come on in ...... i'll happily avoid!

From Edinburgh .... to Glasgow .... to Cardiff .... there is a branch near you ..... Am I on the tour of the UK here?? :D

    ALSO:

the RBS/Natwest ad for the YES .... however the Natwest ad I actually like alot better than the Glasweigan version for RBS, why the hell does everything "Scottish" on ads have to come from that part of Scotland? We ain't all speak like that don't you know

Edit: Scotland has 2 sides ... the west and east side but I have to laugh as on STV when these "Scottish" ads are on majority of its ads it makes has that "twang"

The current add for Yorkshire Bank is really starting to grate now. Those choirboys singing that bloody "cuckoo" song is doing my head in.

Because it'd be a very shit way of flogging broadband services.

It's still a crap advert though.

It just shows how cr*p BT Broadband is.

i have a nother name for him
    One shit

You'd think he'd be advertising toilet rolls rather than kitchen rolls.

Saw a new advert for a new credit card company (yep, during daytime TV:rolleyes:) called 'Shout'. Advert starts zoomed in on a middle aged blonde woman's mouth wide open as she belts out Lulu's ''WAAAAAAYYYYYYEYYYYYEYYYYEYYYEEOOOOO'' opening to her song...well, 'Shout', before showing a load of daft people in a studio prancing around with an oversized cardboard Shout credit card cut-out.

It really IS as annoying as it sounds.

One ad i don't get at the moment is the new Tesco Mobile ads with the comedians, seems a bit desperate for them if you asked me.

also anyone else find the Mcdonald's ad with the old man and young boys a bit creepy? i mean the way it is filmed makes it look like the boys are gonna attack the old man. :o

TG the Cuprinol crying garden shed ad has been removed. I literally had to switch channels when that thing came on. Urgh! I see Ronnie Corbett's 'wootshire' farm foods ad is still running ;)

I dont know if its still going around but its been on for ages. Its a dating advert and shes got highlighted hair and shes says stuff like `Ive lived in London for so many yrs and ive worked here for so many years and that gives me no time for socialising. So whoever gives me the chance to date. I met Joe online, hes a surfer` WOW and shes always smiling with that smile ugh. Shes so irritating. After all these months you would`ve thought she would find someone by now if shes registered on this site.

Indeed and you never see the any of the blokes she's dated EVER again....

Are channels allowed to broadcast trailers for horror movies or over 18's movies (either ones being released in the cinema or now on sale) before 9pm or is it a bit different?

They all look so happy to work there, too :D

Have you seen the Barclays Lifeskills ad thing that's on after every blinking edition of the STV News? It's either an ad or some kind of sponsored infomercial thingy, but it's so annoying. I don't care, work experience kid, if you were shown a kettle and told that you wouldn't be making tea (how thrilling!), I could still download better businesscards for free!

Worse still is the voiceover, which assures us we should all tune in for the next installment -- which never comes, because they just keep repeating the same ones! Aaaaaaaagh!!

The Mumford & Sons tribute act singing a dirge about "coming home for summer", finishing with them all bonding over a sausage whilst the woman from the "act fast Stroke" adverts winks at her son.

    Tosh.

I was just thinking this last night. One of the most iconic Hollywood stars of all time and an iconic song and it all just seems wrong.

I'm surprised they didn't just use the original scene of Audrey Hepburn on the window sill but I guess maybe they couldn't.

 I know and we have that "twang" also .... get a grip! (The Scottish ones....)

I haven't seen the ad yet but I do notice a couple up on youtube though ..... as for this lot telling you to "stay tuned" for next one .... I guess if its not changed its repeated that WHOLE WEEK and is then CHANGED .....great programming STV .....not! (is this ad on for a min just before the ITV News?) If it is its one of those "mini" promo ads .... waste of air space I think

We get a lot of Scottish ads where we are in England and they nearly always never apply to us. It's either NHS Scotland ads or at participating establishments in Scotland only
