She needs to be stopped soon or else she will turn into a bad role model for nowadays young generation. Young, rich and famous should not be used as an excuse for Miley to do this
she sure needs her parents' guidance of what may and may not be done for girl at her age.

Isn't it illegal for underage people to be nude in magazines?
http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/story?id=4736358&page=1
Edit: I feel I should point out I don't really know or care about this, I only know because it's the main story on drudge at the moment (slow news day?)
They are not topless shots a la page 3. Far from it.
Only if its pornograhy as far as I know. This is supposed to be "artistic" which is permitted. See a 15 year old Keria Knightly in The Hole who goes topless - again seen as artistic rather than porn.
Vanity Fair and Leibovitz actions are more questionable, and far more worthy of censure than those of a silly girl who is only doing what other silly little girls all over the world do, i.e. try to look older.
But then again, who doesn't expect the fashion industry to over-sexualise underage girls?
Ah, cheers, and omg Kiera was 15 in The Hole?!
Then the question (not for you) is why they feel a need to make them look like naked shots
Oh ok then it's good that kids get taught to show their flesh.
I believe there are a number of films where this kind of thing happens. Yes she was 15. So was Julliet on one of the film versions
of R&J.
EDIT: Yes, it was Olivia Hussey in the 1968 version of the film who got topless.
Yes but Juliet was supposed to be about 14-15. Times change - we don't marry off girls at this age anymore!!
I think my problem with it's been mentioned above - various media over-sexualising young girls. This one I think is even worse, as this girl is a role model for girls a lot younger than her - my 6 and 8 year old nieces adore this programme. I appreciate she doesn't want to be Hannah Montana forever, but at the moment she still is and should behave accordingly.
not taking into account it's topless or semi-topless still i think it's inappropriate for her to get photographed in such pose. She's still a teenager and most of all teen sensation who's been idolized by many other teens at her age. I'm afraid that she will send a bad examples to her fans with those racy pics of her on the net.
I take it you've never been to a beach. Or in the city centre when the underage discos are on.
Talking of underage discos, I was coming home from work a few weeks ago and the state of some of the girls who I'm guessing were between 13-16. They looked like prostitutes. Who in their right mind would let their young teenager go out dressed like that, I will never know. I can't remember people doing that when I was that age, and I'm only 21 now
Well to be honest I would say she is acting like a typical 15 year old girl these days, how else should she behave? Parents should be setting the example for their kids and guiding them not relying on Miley Cyrus to set an example. It's just lazy parenting (which is all too common in modern society) to sit there and say so and so should be setting a better example.
I can actually see it now as well, somebody on Jeremy Kyle or some other vile show like that blaming Miley Cyrus (or whoever is the latest teenage star at the time) for their teenage daughter being a total ****, rather than looking at their own parenting skills.
Oh and I can't see anything sexual about that picture, I would suggest that if you do the problem might lie with the individual rather than Miley or the picture itself. All this we must protect the children, their innocence is being currupted talk is total nonsense.
Do the right thing Miley.. drop Disney.. drop Hannah Montana and do more photoshoots.
It's all a game.. a clever game where they play with headlines and magazine sales while making lots of money in the process.

Vanity Fair article
What are they trying to prove?
Got to say that anyone who can't see what wrong with that is not looking at the bigger picture
Quite so. It is a classy and good intelligent magazine that presupposes it readers have an intellect ,and are not dyslexic, and have a wide range of interests far beyond celebrities -of whom they profile but only one per issue. Not that I even know who this 15 year old is or why she is famous.
The usual chestnut - she has a famous parent  - although Billy Ray Cyrus should have been arrested for crimes against music years ago.
