It is Okay, but dislike all the commercialism for Christmas - would love to go back to the days when I was much, much younger.......and as far as New Year's Eve, I personally hate it with avengence, as I have too many bad memories of what has happened in the past.....

Loathe. I had to walk past these repellent kiddies singing the more obvious carols today in town. Just wanted to cut out the hideous caterwauling ASAP but they were stood right outside Boots where I wanted to go. Needless to say Boots didn't get my custom and the apple cheeked orphans or whatever they are, didn't get my 5p either.

I love Dickens' Xmas Carol and cheer him on the entire way til that last 5 minutes when he cops out.

Growing up, I used to hate Christmas because it usually meant that 'dad' was more drunk than usual, turkey will be flung out of window, 'dad' shouting and swearing which the neighbours would hear. Now I love Christmas because of Hubby and Daughter and make a big deal out of it.

I don't mind it, I wouldn't say I love it but I wouldn't say I loathe it either. I just loathe certain aspects of it.

It's better when you're a kid and you still believe in Father Christmas. After that it soon becomes little more than any other day.

Christmas is a truly terrible time of year for those not happy with their lives, all that enforced festive good time cheer just highlights ones misery.

I used to love it, when my kids were small and could appreciate it. I don't like it so much now and quite frankly, I'll be glad when it's all over. I might appreciate it more in a year or so when my grandson is a little bit older and can in his turn get a kick out of it.

Loathe the crass, money grubbing commercialism, love looking back on the fantastic Christmas's that I had when I was a kid.

I feel exactly the same. It means nothing to me now, just another day, like any other.

i love christmas, i think it's just a time to remember and be grateful for what you have, family and friends etc, and to spend time with them. I love Christmas :)

    No we are not.

And all the reasons you list in favour can be done anytime of year.

And in my case they are.

Love it, love it , LOVE IT :D

Its the one time of year when we can all get together as a family( 8 for lunch this year!) and just be a close family, with lots of love around and pressies for all.

Everyone seems to happy and festive everywhere we go, everyone is smiling and all the children look so excited, what is there not to love?

I like all the time off work I get and all the food and drink I consume.

But am a bit lethargic about the whole Christmas thing. Yes, its nice to meet up with family but I do that anyway.

I love it. I'm not so keen on the build up but when it's here it's lovely, I love the nostalga factor of it all, the fact that my familys xmas is almsot identical to the ones I had when I was a kid with my family, except this time I'm the mum. It's hard to explain and sounds like such a cliche but it's magical! :)

I don't get people complaining about the ''comercialism'' of it all and how they wish it was like when they were a kid. It was commercial when you were a kid too!!! You just didn't care then.

I love the build up to Christmas. The preparation and wrapping of gifts, organised family get togethers, preparing the turkey etc .... But I generally find Christmas Day a bit of an anti climax.

I think i build the day up in my head as though its a black and white large production Bing Crosby movie - whereas the day ends up more like an afternoon movie on channel 5.

Love it because 1) No need to work, can take some rests. 2) get presents.

Stress is choosing presents. A headache to me. Glad that it's over.
