Can't connect ipad to my network
My daughter has "lent" me her old ipad. I used it at Center Parcs and it found the CP wifi with no problem. Now I'm home, I've clicked on Wi-Fi and it's found all the neighbours but not mine. I tried typing in my network name (as shown on my laptop) but no luck.

I've invested quite a lot of time on trying to connect but still have the basic problem that the ipad doesn't find my network even when I hold it right next to the modem. Tried all the security settings but it still can't find my network.
I've switched everything off and on again. I've downloaded inSIDDer and checked. Mine is a Virgin network, which appears to be using channels 11 + 7 with a WAP 2-personal security. I've tried again using WAP 2 but it still cannot find my network. It is strange because the top connection (which I assume is mine) is simply called "Virgin Connection" with no number. Further down the list is a Virgin Connection with its number attached. Any help would be very welcome. |

Try a different channel (I use channel 1) and make sure the router accepts wireless connections of type b/g/n if possible.

I think I'm getting somewhere. The ipad has found a network which is the same name as the network on my laptop control panel screen (but not the same as on my Virgin hub). But it doesn't as for a password it brings up a screen
IP Address DHCP BootIP Static IP Address Subnet Mask Router DNS Search Domains Client ID HTTP Proxy Off Manual Auto What's that all about? |
