Has anyone bought the HP G5200uk-m from Currys/PC World?

Hi,
I am looking into buying a new PC and have found this deal on the web.
Has anyone bought this at all? I can find no reviews of it whatsoever on the web.

Its reduced from £600 to £399, and with the spec quoted plus a monitor it looks like quite a good bargain.
Anyone agree/disagree?

It looks quite nice, but all of the Dixons, Currys group are selling it for £399.

Price is about average. I've seen far better and it certainly is not a £600 unit.

    Hi,
Have you any links to better kit at all please?
£400 for a PC and monitor is quite cheap compared to what I've managed to find myself.

CPU is average to low speed whilst the GPU is basic.
Sorry its months since I've had to buy any desktops.

However I did see a basic slimline Acer/E-machines one in Asda today for £250 with a 19" monitor.
No doubt with a similar GPU but with a slower single Core CPU.
Either way both sets of kit are basic machines, the £400 one having more CPU power.

(edit - a quick google brings up Emachines EL1352 so it was likely to be that)

No monitor and no operating system so again only average in value.
The HP is OK as long as you are not enticed by the '£200 off' headline.
Might be worth waiting until the 2nd or 3rd January and ordering something then.

    Fair point.
It will be interesting to see if this package stays the same price in Currys in january.

Just as an aside, where they quote the G5200uk-m also has nVidia® GeForce® 6150 SE graphics, is that a seperate graphics card or a on board graphics chip? I've heard NVIDIA are tops when it comes to graphics cards?

    They can also come bottom.

Most Intel embedded seem to be faster than that these days.
Its both embedded and a 'blast from the past'.
