Well yes, but if some old bloke shuffled on tonight and did some 30s stuff, you'd kind of figure he was good back in the day.

Al Murray wasn't funny tonight. :(

You know, Martha and the Vandellas were one of the most successful Motown bands. I can't believe you just said "Martha Reeves or whatever her name is"!

I know who she is I just forgot her name, I'm terrible with names at the best of times. She is unfortunately well past her prime, which is not nice for any performer, but that doesn't stop it being true.

That Martha Reeves (or whatever her name is) was absolutely awful. I muted her second song.

    Me too!

So, logically, you've turned over already, or switched off, or walked away. So why are you complaining so strongly? I can understand not liking it, but well, coprophagia  ?

    Why not.

Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee (who I'm not very fond of tbh), Glenn Miller, Chick Webb? And didn't Louis Armstrong do big band too? Admittedly, I'm not an expert in that music but I would know a few big names.

I've seen the contents of my colon (don't ask :D) and trust me you really wouldn't want to eat what's in there!

Mostly 40s, all greats, I must admit I struggled to name someone from the 30s, but then again, big bands were a 40s thing anyway, weren't they?

Of course. I agree. It's sad when that happens, especially to one of the greats. :(

She wrapped Lenny Henry around her little finger. She'll go far with that much self-confidence.

Now it's the gal from the Ting Tings who dances like she's standing in one of those queues you always get outside the ladies loos in nightclubs and is dying for a pee.
