A decent covering just outside of Cambridge.

It's cold, it's dark, it's the first day back at work, I have a residual cold and I don't want to go outside this morning. I'm not in good mood.

Had a dusting of snow in Bristol. Seems to have warmed it up a bit too. Was driving just north of Bristol on Saturday night and it was -8C !

We had a light dusting on the West Sussex coast over night, the clouds are thickening again so we could be in for a bit more.

It's going to get milder next week ~ praise be
UK Outlook for Saturday 10 Jan 2009 to Monday 19 Jan 2009:
During the first weekend southern and central areas are likely to be dry and cold with sunny periods, a widespread overnight frost and the risk of freezing fog patches. However further north we are expecting windier and milder conditions with outbreaks of rain, locally heavy in the northwest. Then on the first Monday we are expecting the more unsettled and less cold conditions in the north to gradually spread to all remaining areas, although amounts of rain in the southeast will probably be small. Thereafter the weather looks set to be changeable, with northwestern areas having the most of any rain or showers and southeastern areas having the best of any drier, brighter conditions. Temperatures will be milder than of late, but probably still slightly below the average for January.

Started snowing here in SW France about three hours ago. Just been out for a walk and it's about 3cm deep at the moment with more forecast for tonight and tomorrow morning :)
