It's good fun, but, as you say, they're not showing me anything that I ever scoffed back then.

Ice Magic! I LOVED that. God, it was the highlight of the week - Dynasty would come on, so my dad went out to the pub, and my mum and I got out the ice cream and the ice magic. I had Ice Magic magic colour changing spoons too - they were great. I still have one, I use it for the cat's food.

I'd forgotten all about Ice-Magic. It was a treat back then.

Never heard of the Cement Mixer before.......thankfully. That looked gross.

I know... I was also enjoying his bottom in those stone-washed jeans earlier on.

I was in the kitchen when that bit happened. What was it? Was it the thing with Bailey's and something citric and you shook your head til it congealed/curdled in your mouth?

OK we had a nice short segment about what the masses ate, now swiftly back to Giles salivating over posh London chefs ..

Yup, I remember those. Just not the name.

PERRIER SPRITZERS! My mum drank those. I thought they were the height of glamour.

Wow, when they came down the stairs I think I regressed to age 14 and thought Giles was the COOLEST and hottest person I'd EVER seen. That look should really make a comeback.

About as substantial as a Vienetta but great fun to watch all the same. Look forward to next weeks.

Not enough booze consumed by either of them.
They're very good value when they're tipsy, especially Sue.
Might as well admit it, I fancy her even more when she's puddled :)

As for the content of the program, sorry not a lot to say, as others have mentioned, what happened to us ordinary folk would have been interesting.

I loved that episode, Ice Magic took me right back.
And im glad i'm not the only one who fancies Giles, he did have a lovely bum in the Ice Rink - he's very cute
Sue never fails to make me laugh, she was hysterical last year in the Victorian one as one of the Temperance league

I have but one question. Why were they putting potato waffles in the toaster, at breakfast time? Was that supposed to be a joke or was it just sloppy research?

Toasting waffles (the bread-like, American-style ones) were something totally different. Kellogg's tried them here in the '80s but they didn't take off (though I have recently seen that McVitie's do them now).
