  Sam is really annoying me lately. I find it disgusting how she set up an innocent man and sent him to prison for 14 years just to keep him away from Leela and Peri.

  I voted for Sandy being Darrens mum for its sheer pointlessness.
  I liked the Browning/Shirley secret though, sort of Airplane reference and that it was random.

  The only reason is becuase of the build up to Ally's secret and how long we were waiting for this amazing shock then it was very underwhelming but Sandy is Darren's mum is a close second.

  What Sam did was horrible. People obviously aren't going to react as badly to what she did, as to what some of the other bad things characters have done (Finn for example), but imo what she did was just as bad.

  I like Leela but she's being quite idiotic at the moment. Surely her suddeneley deciding to declare herself Peri's mum would do her more harm than good at the moment.

  The only time Hollyoaks have had major shocks that really surprised me were Heidi's murder, Lynsey's murder, the Bus Crash Victims (not including Rhys - that was obvious) and Theresa being Calvin's killer. The others were either underwhelming or pointless. I do think Clare's death last year would have been a major shock had it not leaked months before. Still annoyed that the actress leaked that tape and that BK even killed Clare in the first place!
