BBC iPlayer Desktop Problems (Mac)

Hi,
I have BBC iPlayer Desktop for my Mac. For some reason, it won't download anything, it just shows up with '0 Mbps', then pops up with an error message saying there was a problem with the download.
I've tried uninstalling BBC iPlayer Desktop, and the folders within the library (as it stated on its website), but after reinstalling it, I get the same problem.
Has anyone else had this problem? And does any one know how to fix it?
