Cat's paws are either pink or dark, or mixed, depending on their predominant coat colour. Same with their nose.

I've never seen a cat with white paws.

Thank you for all your helpful replies ... I am still none the wiser because his paws are now white and I have no idea why they were pink before ... I am now going to try a different litter and see what happens.

I think it is the litter because he just used it and his paws are pink again. I will try a different type once he has finished using this bag.

My dog's paws also turn pink too (the fur) every now and then. I was told that it was something in his food.

I think she means the fur, not the paw pads themselves.

One of my cats has white feet and his fur gets a pink tint from the cat litter .
