xbox360 live chat help

Anybody able to help me here, I can remember on MW2 there was a away to mute everybody except my friends by some setting on the xbox dashboard. Screaming kids on S&D is starting to bother me and i cba to mute everybody in every game and then everybody who joins in.

Now i cant seem to find the setting anywhere, so I was just wondering if anybody has any ideas?

    In the "My Xbox" section you should see something like "Online safety" click that and then edit/customize.

    (It's something like that :p)

    surely you just start a party with your friends?

    on search and destroy you have to stay in game chat

    According to “Voice Communication with Xbox 360” by Microsoft you can accomplish this by going to: Edit Profile → Privacy Settings → Voice and Text → Friends Only. Using this method, you are able to mute everyone on the Xbox Live gaming network except for those players in your list of friends.
