Just wondering if there are still mafias about in Italy if so surely they can't have much power?

    Naples still has Mafia but a lot are now run by women the wives in Italy as all the top men are in the nick.

    There was a documentary on 4 about it a few years ago.

    Still around, although they're not necessarily into organised crime as much as they used to they tend to have their fingers in corporate and political pies these days. ;)

    I still get a xmas card from old Salvatore Loretto, the mafia capo in Sicily.

    His son, Carlo, is back in the nick for drugs charges again. :(

    It sure does!

    The Mafia aren't like the stereotypes you see on TV anymore but in parts of Italy they are still very much the law. Around Napoli and Sicily, the Mafia should be taken seriously indeed.

    Whilst they're having wars everyone's losing money and creates more problems.
