Homophobe nutcase on with Cristo right now, a man who keeps talking about marrying his own mother. He don't half get 'em!

I would have liked to have heard that bit. Does anyone have a recording please? I switched over to 5 Live when Cristo came on.

So the time of this call would have been around 4:45 am? :)

Actually, I've just realised that it is SA who should be on BBC Radio London and JM on the modern LBC. It would make far more sense re presentation styles and content but perhaps Steve Allen is too cutting edge for the BBC.

I don't think he'd get away with calling people Marys etc on the BBC.

I heard Robert Elms say today he's starting at 10 instead of 9 a.m. in the new year on a Saturday....so there are changes afoot at BBC London whether LBC will react or not we will see

That is a return to how it was less than a year ago. Talk about chop and change.

If Jo and Simon do 7am to 10am again, that is a bonus as they are Very Saturday. It also means Lord Robert can have an extra hour in bed and travel directly from the studio at the end of the programme to Queens Park Rangers.

They can't afford another Kenny Everett style incident. :)

I suggest you use the PM function if you don't want other people to comment? It's a forum.

Nearly time for Larry's unmissable Sunday show.
    He's no champagne socialist.
    Lamb for Prime Minister.
    You know it makes sense.

Yes hope they don't change Simon and Jo....they are perfect indeed for Saturday mornings but I do enjoy the switch to Roberts at 9 so will be a little annoying as he does have some great articles that seem to flow well on from Jo and Simon at that 9 marker.....yesterday's small business feature was excellent from him

It's the Essex Quest on BBC Essex for me. Not a fan of Larry Lamb.

    No, sorry.

Are you still struggling with the new DS or have you tried Martin's fix? It's brilliant!

    Morning all. :)

He's great isn't he? His show has a different feel to others on LBC, less confrontational and a different type of caller. He provides some much needed variety to LBC's output.

Having heard his mother on the radio twice, I can't quite understand the appeal.

But then John Major was allegedly very fond of Edwina Currie.

He is growing on me. I enjoy listening to his shows now.

Did anyone hear the call from Anne between 10 and 10.30am. They were discussing the marine who has been given a life sentence and been named. Anne had experience of being a nurse in conflict areas around the world and recounted an incident in Vietnam which summed up the true horror and brutality. Quite a story and one that plays on your mind a little.

Yes I heard that. I must admit it didn't surprise me. I read a book called Chickenhawk by Robert Mason, an ex helicopter pilot for the US Marines in vietnam recounting his experiences. It told of similar atrocities. Drove him of the rails in the end and to drug dependancy for decades after.

I hate to say it but I am starting to take to LL now. I like that he is quite worldly wise and can go back to an earlier era of life in the capital. Ken Livingstone's good for this too.

It was nearing the end when I posted my comment, chin, so 5 or 10 minutes before that.

I think it was the last call before he did the round up of the newspapers to finish. The bloke 'just didn't get it', I think is the LBC in phrase. Cristo was very patient though and quite able to remain unphased.

Chin, I have a podcast subscription, is there any way I could make it available to you if I downloaded it? Youtube maybe? Perhaps we should have a PM about this?

When I had a job I used to subscribe, but cut it out as an unnecessary expense of late. :(

He was quite civil to Daniel Radcliff though on In Conversation With.
No mention of the wand but the equus nudity bit was mentioned and the No.1 sexiest person rating in Shalom weekly.

Did anyone hear NAs first caller last night? A man named Peter nearly bored me to the off switch. Fifteen minutes!
