It was a good few years ago I just came across someone selling one on eBay and I can't believe I actually thought I looked good holding this thing haha
At the end of my contract, Orange retentions convinced me to get an all singing, all dancing one of these, telling me it was a revolutionary step forward, in a whole new league....
It was, other than a little FM transmitter that didn't really work properly, and a flip which went floppy and loose after a couple of months, COMPLETELY THE SAME!
A total disappointment, and the last Nokia I bought.
I was at uni in 2009 and bought an iPhone 3GS with my loan. Suddenly I was very poor but I stuck it out for about 4 months and decided to sell it on. Only lost about 70 quid. iPhones were still HOT property at the time.
The Blackberry was such a step back, didn't even have 3G. Worst smartphone I ever had :-(
I also bought two more after, I don't know what I was thinking :-(
I didn't know much about operating systems, but I wanted the Sat Nav feature and reckoned that if it had the Windows name, it would be fine. How wrong I was.
I ran screaming back to Nokia at the first opportunity and the tender embrace of the 6300. Although I moved to Android before Nokia was finally swallowed up, I'll never buy another Windows phone.
Horrible phone. Resistive touch screen (tip - have a couple of long finger nails to scratch the phone with), and it would hang when making and answering phone calls. I had a cheap Nokia as a work phone at the time. I would avoid using the Omnia as much as I could so I made all calls I could on the Nokia!

Given that the platform and technology is different in every way now compared to what you had back then, it wouldn't be a great reason to never try a windows phone again. There are plenty of reasons to not want a windows phone but the old windows mobile of years ago shouldn't be one of them.
Just look at clonmult who used to dislike them but is now a convert.
Worst battery life of a phone ever. Terrible lo-res screen and despite it only being a feature phone, it had the battery life of a 5 year old iPhone! I had to charge it every day, more if I used bluetooth for anything!
After being left disappointed by my Windows Phone I wanted to go back to Android, but I didn't want to splash out an arm and a leg on another phone, so I went for the Huawei G300 after reading nothing but praise for it.
What a sorry mistake that was. I kept kidding myself it was a good buy for the price but in reality it was a pile of crap. I don't know how it got such good reviews.

It does show tho that one bad experience can put someone off for life. That's why phone makers value good service because markets and opinion can change very quickly.

Absolutely fair, but they'd have to come up with some pretty groundbreaking stuff for me to consider it over Android.
That said, the fact that I would let the experience of an eight year old phone cloud my judgement now gives you some idea of just how bad it was.

The SDA2 was Windows Mobile. Windows Phone as it is now is a completely different OS.
HTC s710, I did not buy it, I had it on a contract from BT, when they was doing their broadband anywhere deals, that was a waste of time.
Awful phone, still got it here.

....if you bought it 10 years ago.:D

Great specs, but absolutely useless in real life. My policy at the time was to buy second hand unlocked phones, so at least I could resell it quickly!

After a microsecond's worth of consideration, the T-Mobile SDA II wins hands down.

I was thinking, where did I just bring it from?

I also had one of these, albeit the limited edition F1 version:

Awful and majorly problematic this turned out to be.
