I thought it would be a good idea to see where the readers of DS stand politically just before the English and Welsh local elections and the London Mayoral election. The question is, if there was a General Election tomorrow which party would you vote for?

I have requested a poll which should be up shortly.

If there was a General Election tomorrow, which party would you vote for? 169 votes

Conservative, just to get Labour out. Cameron doesn't appeal to me one bit though, and his new idea about the Police having to issue crime maps is just a pathetic gimmick that solves nothing.

It matters a great deal where I am - we have the fragrant Jaquie Spliff, Home Secretary in a marginal seat. I hope we can get shot of her next time around.

It's tragic how polarised english politics are when you read something like that.. We kicked both labour & Tories out here, its really funny cause now their joining forces like an unofficial coalition...

Democracy? Don't make me laugh

Same as America, if you want the Republicans out, bot Democrats. We're basically a two party system ATM, have been for a while, with other parties masquerading as having a chance.

    For me

    General Election: Conservatives
Local Election: No idea, as the Tories seem to be braindead here ATM

Labour - I still see no positive reason to vote Conservative.
