Left on the shelf, forgotten about, only really friends with her sister...

So twisted with malevolence against Stan.

Awful woman

Glad her sherry trifle ended up on the f;loor

I think she's been dripping poison about Stan for years.

It seems like she was dripping poison into Shirley's ear about Stan too. Shirley softened a BT towards him and Aunt Babe was quick to stamp that down...I wonder what's going on there. I get the feeling that Sylvie and Babe are actually the villians of this piece. Sylvie sounds like she was a bad mother. Maybe that was to do with Babe also..

She may have good reason to be bitter but her wickedness could well be very delicious!

I wonder what her trick is in getting the jelly in her trifle's to set so quickly? I always have to leave mine over night.

I seem to remember, from when I used to make trifles, replacing half the water with fruit juice and using less fluid generally helps the jelly to set faster. You get a nice, firm jelly that way too.

But I might have dreamt that.

*That's fruit from juice rather than fruit juice, if you see what I mean.

Was she in an episode of Murder in Mind with Dawn French? Or was it Psychoville?

To be fair, there is so much we don't know about Stan, Sylvie and their marriage it is hard to tell who the villain of the piece is. If Stan mistreated Sylvie at all, of course her sister isn't going to like him. And whilst I agree that Babe is quite poisonous Stan clearly has a vicious streak - no matter how ammoyiing she was being, breaking her mother's bowl on purpose was nasty.

I agree with KitKat actually, there is so much we don't know and they both have a nasty streak.

Aw c'mon that's unnecessary. No need to insult the actress.

Also I can't seem to fathom her relationship with Shirley out.....one minute she's blackmailing her with the biggest secret of her life and the next she's crying with her over old times and reminding Shirley what she's learnt from her old aunt babe?!?! Bizarre.
