So I've bought my nephew the whole boxset of the first ever series of pokemon because he watches the new one and I wanted him to know how better it was when it first started

Only thing is I don't know if it'll play on his PS3?

    No, that's a region 4 disc and I don't think PS3 handles multi-region DVDs or blu-rays, at least not according to some old threads on here.

    No idea about the English, although as it's for sale in Australia you'd think so.

    you may have to rip them to get rid of the regional coding.

    I thought most people had at least one multi-region DVD player in their house. Since 1999, they're all I've ever had.

    Regarding the English, I'm 99% sure that DVD would be the US anime and not the Japanese version :)

    Buy him a multi-region DVD player to go with the box set, it would probably be the cheaper of the two items anyway...
