So long as it is not gritty and serious I will be happy.
See, i feel the exact opposite. I hated the Roger Moore films, so if they go all campy again i'll likely lose all interest. I hope they stay gritty and serious, just with a slightly sarcastic edge like they had in Casino Royale and Skyfall. I want a serious spy thriller, not 'Carry On Spying'.
Hopefully since they've got Mendes back they'll also get Thomas Newman back to do the score, Skyfall's score was fantastic.
I loved Skyfall in the cinema, but after watching it a second time on DVD I have several problems with it. It's still undoubtedly a great Bond film, and I loved all the references to the classic films, but there are huge sections of the plot that make no sense at all. For example, why did Bond and M even go to Scotland? And why did they lay a false trail if they knew Silva would find them anyway? How did Bond not know Moneypenny's name until the end of the film? And don't get me started on the whole 'Silva planned his capture and exact escape route several years in advance' - totally implausible.
Don't get me wrong, it's not as bad as the underwhelming Quantum of Solace, but it's not quite Casino Royale either.
I have high hopes for Bond 24; Mendes is a great director and Craig his established himself as a fantastic Bond. I would like them to return to the Quantum storyline, and have that play out over the next two films (I suspect Craig may do one more after this next one). The big Quantum boss could be revealed in the next film, and Craig finally defeats them in his final turn as Bond in 2017/18.
So, 'Devil May Care' is apparently the title (according to The Sun) of the next Bond film. If this is true, will it be an adaptation of the book, which was at in the 60s or will they just be using the title? Or is this all hogwash?
Gotta be honest, news of Mendes returning hasn't filled me with joy after Skyfall (overhyped). If the next Bond film doesn't START with the gun barrel sequence directly after the MGM roar, I'm walking out!

I wouldn't be surprised if the gun barrel is back at the start for the next film. Although I think walking out if it ISN'T is a bit of a ridiculous reaction...
As for the Devil May Care rumours, considering that the source is The Sun I'd take that with a massive pinch of salt, and I'm sure that the producers have previously stated that they won't use that novel anyway.

They need to bring back Blofeld. Revamp him, and let him be the villain-behind-the-scenes for the next two films, until Bond eventually confronts him and kills him in a third film
As long as Naomie Harris is in the next one, I couldn't care less about the other details.
Craig is still my favourite Bond as he represents my vision of what Bond should be better than any of the others - a damaged, ruthless killer. The scene where he jumps into the car from the digger arm and straightens his cuffs before continuing the pursuit was comedic enough for me.

I want a couple of set piece stunts like Tom Cruise did climbing the Burj Khalifa.
Something that looks epic.
Some thing like the bungee jump in "Goldeneye" perhaps?
The news of the return of Mendes and Logan doesn't fill me with confidence. I wasn't a fan of "Skyfall". In fact, I think it is quite flawed in some ways. It's better than QoS, but it has some problems. I like "Casino Royale" and I do like Daniel Craig's portrayal of Bond. I appreciate that the makers took a bit more effort into developing the story of Skyfall, but the execution didn't work out well.
Bond 24 has just been announced - as yet untitled.
Due out in 23rd October 2015 in the UK, 6th November US.

Not likely!

The one thing they need to do is stop giving nods to the past Bond history. Move along and look to the future.

BIB: Agreed. This
