you think? its one of the harder ones imo. lille and wolfsberg fighting for champions leagues spots most years in their respective leagues.

st entienne wont be an easy place to go for inter.

Travel wise, that's not too bad for Everton

Nice little trips to France and Germany to look forward to, and only one really long trip to Krasnodar

As a matter of fact given the dangerous situation in Russia, wonder if the Krasnador match will be moved

travel wise maybe, but priority is qualification chances wise surely?

i know top 4 is aim but everton have a team capable of winning a europeon trophy and guaranteeing CL to boot.

Real Sociedad lost 3-0 to Krasnodar so they are a hard pot 4 team to come up against for Everton. Lille finished third in France and Wolfsburg were only 4 points off a Champions league place in Germany so it is a tough group for Everton.

Cant see Everton being anywhere near winning it

Tripolis won't be able to get past Spurs or Besiktas although I hope they beat the crap out of Partizan. I'm hoping Panathinaikos and PAOK get no points whatsoever.

perhaps not if they treat it like alot of english teams have in past but if they play strong teams they have a chance alright.

looking at group those that look strong from get go are

    everton
    Villareal
    Spurs
    Besiktas
    PSV Eindhoven,
    Inter
    Sevilla
    Lille
    Wolfsburg
    Everton
    Napoli
    Fiorentina

i wouldnt say everton look out of place on that list myself.

May get out of the group, but seeing the quality teams in the competition I would say last 32 or 16 should be the minimum target

Anything else would be a bonus

If we're struggling in the league though I can see Bobby moving this competition down the priority list

It would be nice to see Everton doing well but it never seems fair on those in from the start once the champions league drop outs arrive and they always seem too strong at the latter stages

true although i think chelsea are the only team to win it after dropping out of champions league out of the 5 winners so far.

How long before the managers start complaining about travelling and having to play Thursday - Sunday.

Mind you Spurs should be used to it and well Lille is just across the channel..

    ;)

The winners get into the Champions League I believe - but what happens if they qualified through their league position?

The fact that Everton have been given two spots in the competition should give them a huge advantage.
