Russell Brand in foul-mouthed rant AGAINST Comic Relief just days after appearing on show
By Scott Campbell

'Brand said he felt "compromised" after taking part in the annual BBC fundraiser last Friday.
He told an East London audience: "Is it right to do Comic Relief? Plus is any f***er watching it?
"Those were the questions I was asking myself as I walked out confidently on to the Palladium stage. And the answer is, 'no, not really'."'

What typical vacuous nonsense from this arch attention seeker.
I saw the beginning of his appearance, he had a big build up and a section of the audience cheered but I had the feeling he had a lukewarm reception as the applause died down quickly....the audience weren't ready for the revolution?
Sounds like he was more annoyed with his late spot in the show and maybe his act didn't go too well with those present?
I switched off after his first rant about government...sounds like everyone else must have as well.
That's sort of how it's gone for me, Jason.
Used to think he was quite funny and charming in his way, now I find him to be an absolute idiot who needs to shut his mouth and stop being such a raging hypocrite. His involvement in of the demonstrations he appears at just makes them look like a joke, ditto that other nutter Vivienne Westwood.
All of the above. I can't believe that someone who rants and raves so much has such the balls to try to use it as his "revolution". Have said before, knowing big words and then trying to use them in a sentence that doesn't make him sound like a pompous ar*e, must be difficult for the poor lamb.
*cough* newsnight. ...
I feel the same way.
Why did he choose to take part then?
No wonder when they only allow people after a certain time of the night to only dontate by text and have only one option - £10
You could have fooled me!!
There are individuals so rich they could solve it all, eg Bill Gates. Has he stumped up the cash to create clean water throughout? Nope but he's heavily invested in vaccination programs for the poor feckers.
Here you go Bill - a cheap easy to build structure that sucks drinking water out of thin air. Or The Midomo unit, (Dragon's Den), cost £100 each and you need to push it for 2.2km to filter 50 litres of water. How many of them can the top 10 rich-list afford?
Isn't it extremely sunny in Africa? Deserts and all? Wouldn't there be plenty of companies willilng to gift (tax relief) Solar energy equipment? Couldn't they make it into a programme and create money and interest in the starting-up stage? How much money could all that energy make for S/A?
But we have comic relief and the adverts about starving people and kids dying of dysentry from drinking dirty water, same as we had 25yrs ago when I was little. >:(
And, how many millions now have we raised to send over there? Over the past 10yrs, it must be a corker of a figure. Now add all the other countries fund-raising efforts.
