Looking for cheap DVD +R player

Does anyone know of any cheap player in the likes of Asda or Tesco that will play my DVD +R discs. Having a problem tracking one of these down. Got the cheap Wharfedale that said it would, but it wouldn't.

    I thought they should 'play' in any DVD?.

    Bought a cheap £18 "Durrabrand" model 2005 player from Asda to re-mix some home DVD's - seems to do all Versions I've thrown at it so far & plays a dodgy +R which the Panasonic DMRES20 recorder I have keeps skipping & freezing on. Very basic - no controls or display on the front panel but does - in that cliche - everything it says on the tin. Actually I 'm not sure it claimed to do +- R /Rw - but it does & perfectly! Remote is small but has all it needs but use new batteries as I found an old set wouldn't work & was about to return the unit when I discovered this....
