That controller was made by someone on NeoGAF I think after people were saying that on the leaked controller picture, that it was too small to be a screen - someone showed a pic of a laptop that has a screen embedded in the touchpad.

I think it would be pretty useful. One touch and you're into Trophies for the game, one touch and up comes your friends list and maybe they'll allow a game to have custom icons so one touch and up pops something that would otherwise be in a menu somewhere.

Not seen the console render before.

Good call, knowing where this pic came from I am quite confident that it will be very close. I have not seen it before.

The battery life would be shit though.

But you questioned on if the cost estimates drawn up by Isuppli included research and development costs, which it did.
No, I never said that either.

I said the BOM for the Cell does not include R&D costs. And it doesn't.

Isuppli reffered to their costing list as a "bill of materials." so if you wan't to correct Isuppli's terminology, I suggest you contact them instead of me.

4gb of ram seems low. I was hoping for 8gb.
Sony are always trying to get away with as little RAM as possible. It was the same with the PSP as well as the PS3.

Let's see any smartphone run Uncharted, God Of War 3, heck even Call of Duty - never mind the titles that we will see on the PS4 - and then we'll talk about smartphones replacing consoles. Until then, any talk of that happening is nothing more than the ramblings of those who know little about gaming to begin with.

Even if they did play triple A games, playing games on phones and tablets is a horrid experience without buttons.

I guess we will see what type of games the OUYA produces but I wouldn't hold my breath for it being even as good as the Wii.

I reckon all we'll get tonight is an announcement, maybe some info on Playstation World and the concept surrounding the PS4, with a promise of more detailed info to come at E3.

It is kind of odd that they're advertising on the perimeter boards of the Champions League matches tonight with the same as yesterday, 'Be The First To Know 20.02.2013' as the announcement is 11PM UK time, so is actually taking place on the 21st for everyone else in Europe!

Hope T-mobile don't let me down, speeds seem awful, just topped up an getting 0.6Meg GiffGaff still have not reactivated me after barring for supposedly using it in dongle either. So looking unlikely I'll be able to stream. I'm gutted.
